Last night I had a meeting with two screenwriting friends. One guy, Ray, is part of a production team pitching a movie project.
I heard back that our group was rejected by the Sundance Institute. We’ll never know why we weren’t picked. But it doesn’t matter. We have to keep doing good with no harm while reinventing the pitch and see if the movie will be picked by someone.
How I’m perceived by others isn’t something I think about. At least one of the previous Lenten lessons was to keep taking the path that I think is taking me in the best direction, regardless of judgement by others.
I’ve learned that putting myself in positions to succeed along with luck will improve my chances at most everything. That includes getting my movie made.
