Lent Day 4 - Rowan

The Road Crew had to stay over looking for one of their members, Rowan was gone for going on two days. The cops were called and responded to a missing persons report and scowered the neighborhood. One of the other guests at the motel reported seeing Rowan stagger out of the bar early in the morning.

There was Rowan passed out on a patch of grass next to the motel. One of the crew members in the search party jostled the disheveled Rowan awake with a badly sprained ankle and facial injuries sustained from stumbling over the curb.

An ambulance was dispatched and transported the hungover and forlorn Rowan to the emergency room.

"What's gotten into you? You've been acting crazy since we checked in," a roadie asked.

"Riley's not going to make it through the weekend. You know Taylor Jones thinks our act stole poetry and stories and put out a hit. I was hauled to the backroom of that bar and roughed up. They told me to give up Riley's schedule. I did it for a thousand bucks. They let me go. I don't know what to do."

"Let's get you bandaged up and out of here," the ER doctor said. "You'll need an X-Ray for that foot. I don't think you have a concussion."

Rowan was the opportunistic member of the Riley's Road Crew. He was always the first to volunteer for the difficult jobs. Like the time one of the speaker monitors was left at a joint the night before. He took an Uber and went and got it.

Opportunism was also a bad thing for Rowan. If there was a bowl of Halloween candy outside a house on the honor system, Rowan would dump all the sweets into a pillow case and run away.

Riley and Rowan first met at a big outdoor gig. The two hit it off.
