Facebook keeps me sooo connected. No, really! What are all of my friends doing today(or was it last month??) Holly used to be in my yoga class- she was really great- I mean at least we would say hi (or maybe just nod to each other?) in class and then one day she just wasn’t there anymore. I mean I didn’t really notice she was gone from class until months later when she showed up in my feed and had moved to Arizona (I think??) and I sent her a care (or was it a heart?)emoji because she made the courageous decision to move to Colorado, (I mean Arizona) and become a carnivore dedicated to Jesus.
It's all about bringing people together and building community regardless of like, where you live in the world, or economic circumstances or skin color. That’s what we are doing through social media- it’s reaching its great purpose- building communities of interest. I mean just look at Twitter! Thank god for Elon, right? Dude is righteous in his quest to make the most money in the world. And the Coffee Party is doing some great work- no seriously!! They’re going to front a candidate in 2024- I’m sure of it- like maybe Deepak Chopra or possibly even OPRAH!
Speaking of which, OMG-my daughter’s 6th grade teacher wrote a children’s book- soooo cute! Kevin Costner, I’m so sad you couldn’t be at the Golden Globes to get your award (for that show that we binged but then were seriously disappointed in the last few episodes- where’d you go man? )but it was really sweet to watch you open the box on your bed at home in Montecito. Rei, like Holly- I am so glad you’ve found your peace living in a tent in Maine in the middle of the winter. Girl, I admire you. You were a movie star for a while and then forsook all that to grow weed in Norcal and find yourself (which you then took to said yurt across the country)Insert heart emoji.
I just feel so seen and understood, you know? The Master Gardeners, New Yorker, NPR, Shop Local, Big Ears Festival,the Tricycle Review, Amnesty International and various symphony orchestras- Y’all are my peeps! I’ve learned so much from all of you- especially Greta Thunberg. Girl, keep going. And I can’t even with Jaime Lee Curtis and Michelle Yeoh.
